"Authentic Szechuan cuisine. Glad they moved to this better and bigger venue. The portion is decent and most of the dishes are fairly tasty. Watch out the spice level! Recommend sizzling tofu, chicken with taro, dry hot pot (gan guo) and stir fry lettuce root (wo sun)."

"I can honestly say this is the best Sichuan restaurant I’ve found in Birmingham so far. Two years ago, before opening the restaurant, the owner used to prepare set meals at home, which my friends and I would often order. The flavors are very authentic, and they use a generous amount of Sichuan spices and seasonings."

"Absolutely delicious. The Chicken with Szechuan peppercorn dish was next level mouth numbing... Very similar in quality to my wife's home city Chengdu. Quantity was excellent. No one left needing more, in fact we took leftovers back in takeaway container. Do note though... Cash only. No credit cards. That one had me walk a few hundred metres to draw out cash at Tesco express nearer China town. Great experience. Totally recommend going."

"It’s not so often you find such an authentic Szechuan restaurant in the UK. I’ll recommend lily’s to anyone who likes chili-hot and flavorful dishes. Just please don’t order your regular chow mein, noodle soup or curry, and please try some of their special dishes. You WILL BE AMAZED. Service, on the other hand, was a little obituary. We dined in at peak hours and waited 30 mins for the first dish to come. Then again, this is more of a “taste of home” place rather than a fancy fine dining, so I guess some imperfection in service is acceptable."

"Very tasty food very much like the food I ate in China. The portions are very large and we definitely over ordered. When the food arrived, it has clearly just been cooked from fresh. As the sign above the door says, this food is quite spicy hot. IMPORTANT NOTE: they only take cash, but there is a cash machine at the nearby train station."

"Small, bustling, and well worth the visit! We managed to get a table on a busy Friday evening and were really impressed. Fantastic, bold flavours and proper portion sizes that don't leave you hungry. It was the perfect way to warm up on a wet and cold evening. We'll certainly be returning."
